About The Prom Show

  • The prom season is now firmly established

The last ten years has witnessed an ever-growing explosion of pan-UK proms and graduation events. With 89 secondary schools in Essex alone holding variations of prom nights or graduation events, the size of the industry is very clear indeed, and yet the ‘Prom Industry’ is really only in its infancy. These well-organised social events are firmly establishing themselves as an integral part of the year 11 school calendar (as much as the exams!) and are eagerly anticipated by all – students, teachers and parents alike.

    The Prom Show: 22nd - 23rd January 2011.
    From 10am to 4pm.
At The Brentwood Centre, Brentwood, Essex. View map

    How do we know?

The 1stEvent Group of companies, thanks to its experience of 13 years in event organisation provision and management, as well as offering tailor-made services to the prom industry, is running this great new show.

Through our limousine hire company, 1stEvent Limousines Ltd, being one of the largest and longest established limousine hire providers in the UK, we have seen first-hand how prom parties have developed from their humble beginnings to the huge and extremely well-run events into which they have grown. Superb venues in Essex such as Stockbrook Manor, Orsett Hall, Ye Olde Plough House, Crondon Park, Three Rivers and The Lawns are just some of the places having the facilities needed to hold these huge events.

The future for the industry is bright and exciting

  • So Why a Prom Show?

A well organised and professionally presented prom show has been needed for a long time. Every involved parent knows how frustrating it can be trying to find the ideal prom dress, shoes, make-up, hair stylists, nail technicians, florists and even stretch limousines, not to mention a good tuxedo or suit. Every involved teacher knows how challenging it is to organise these fun-filled events. Finding quality DJ’s, MC’s, live bands, entertainment, catering, balloons and decorations etc, and all within a budget, are not easy to find either. Instead of the organisers having to find specialist suppliers in very different locations, we have organised everything everyone needs in the one location and at the same time, covering two fun and event-packed days.
